I've been living at my accomodation since arriving about a month ago and I noticed a very interesting character on the same floor as me. He's a middle-aged guy in his late 30s and he is always very formally dressed on weekdays, usually decked in a long sleeve business shirt and dress pants. What I find most amusing about him is that he is always frying sausages in the communal kitchen!
Everytime I see him in the kitchen, he would be armed with a fryer and four medium sausages in his frying pan and he would turn on the stove and start frying. Each time you can tell it's a different type of sausage due to the colour of the sausage skin. I have nothing against sausages but isn't he sick of eating them?
I'm already sick of my own cooking and I have been cooking so many different things!

Frying Pan
Today I had the most excruciating and painful conversation with my neighbour Eric, explaining to him what was a frying pan. There's no other way to explain it! A frying pan is a frying pan! Grrrrr.... WTF!

Flying Chicken
Yes, the name of the restaurant is called Flying Chicken, I kid you not.
The Koreans might have a queer sense of English, but their cusine is just mesmerising. I just cannot get enough of Korean food and I swear the Korean food here is so much better than in Singapore.
Eric ordered the Beef Bulgogi Lunch Bento Set. It's at a very affordable price of AUD$8.90!
I ordered the Kimchi Stew. It's kimchi and pork in a rich spicy broth that works so well with the weather here. The shining sun is warm but the wind really chills!
The beef is juicy to the bite and sweet to the taste. Yum!
The prawn tempura was crisp and light!
The veggie salad was just alright - nothing special.
My steaming kimchi stew hotpot. I love the intensity of the spiciness, though I'm not much of a spicy person.
Eric was too hungry to post a picture for me... Oh well...
I had to take a photo of myself by myself because Eric was too busy eating! Sigh... I think only Weny can withstand all the camwhoring, only because she's worse than me! :P
Flying Chicken is opposite Taylors College along Lonsdale Street.

Seoul - Little Bourke Street
Had lunch today in the city at Seoul on Little Bourke Street.
I ordered one of the bento set lunches which is AUD$10.50 and comes with miso soup and a canned drink. This is the Beef Bulgogi set.
The tempura sides - there were sweet potato, eggplant, another veggie one that I could not identify and also a takopachi octopus ball and a fish fillet tempura.
The veggie salad with a very light tangy dressing.
The beef was tasty but some of it was not as tender as I would expect bulgogi to be. If I'm not wrong the texture of of the beef should be a little stringy and so light that it practically melts in your mouth.
On the whole, it was an very satisfying meal for me as Asian delights are always a treat for me. I would surely visit again to try their other set lunches. Very value for money considering eating out over here.

Chocolat
It's quite ironic that I have never had Max Brenner's in Singapore, but I always have it when I'm in Melbourne. It's like I'm not sure why, perhaps there's just not much things to do around in Melbourne that I just end up having chocolate.
Max Brenner's Chocolate at QV Building along Lonsdale Street in Melbourne City. It's right in the heart of the city.
I brought my neighbour Eric to have his first hot chocolate!
Milk Chocolate Suckao. It also comes in white and dark chocolate.
Ice-Blended Milk Chocolate Drink. I forgot the real name on the menu. Haha.
Chocolate Waffle with Strawberries. Just puts you in the mood for sex. Just kidding...
